The Department/School/Area of Environmental Toxicology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Visiting Professor in Forensic Science position to begin 08/01/2026.
Major/Essential Functions
- Teach graduate courses in forensic science areas to include forensic drug analysis, forensic toxicology, and instrumental methods.
- Participate in curriculum development.
- Participate in departmental service within the forensic science undergraduate and graduate programs.
Faculty Qualifications
Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate's intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, or a closely related field by the appointment start date
- Evidence of effective teaching or instructional potential
- Strong written and oral communication skills
